Food 7/10

The Allure has a good variety of food aboard the ship, although not as complete as NCL’s ships. we found most of the food aboard this ship to get pleasantly good food and well prepared. In the MDR most of the was good to the palate and had a good texture, however the main problem that I encountered was that the food just luke warm by the time that it got to the table. Unfortunately, this is something that bothers me slightly, and essentially the main reason why I did score the Allure better in this category.

As far as the specialty restaurants there is a good amount of options to pick from. We personally enjoyed the tapas very much, and I highly recommend Vintages to anyone. We had a good experience at Chops, and mom was particularly found of her steak. However, I encountered minor issues in both 150 and Giovannie’s.

The overall experience aboard the Allure was a good one. I am sure that most will be just fine with the food aboard this vessel. Just keep in mind that feeding all those cruisers is not an easy task, and in my opinion RCCL is does a good job at it.

 Cabin 8/10

This cruise was slightly different for us, it was 3 of us in one cabin. After that experience I can say that I don’t feel confident about spending more than 7 days with 3 or more in one cabin. That aside, I think that the Allure cabin felt about average with other cabins that category in other lines. I might of felt slightly smaller, but not by much. The bathroom did definitely feel smaller, I am not sure with but this was specially true for the shower. The balcony was just great, with lots of space to relax and move around. But in the end the overall of the feeling was good and with a warm feeling.

TV System & Internet  9/10

The TV system in the Allure was just incredible, it offer the most flexibility and information that I have seen on a cruise to date. My boyfriend made lots of use this system, and the great variety of movies that they offered for free. You can also retrieve all kind of information from the TV and make reservations. The final reason why I think it is superior to any TV system is because you can order breakfast on the same day, through the TV.

The internet is also the fastest and easiest connections that I have experienced at sea. With had a good internet package and we were able to make very use out of it. I remember that we were able to send up to 10 pictures per email within a few minutes. It also only went down during one day for a few hours.

Pools, Jacuzzis & Adults Only Area 9/10

The Allure has 5 pools and a bunch of oversized jacuzzies, there is more than enough water space to keep everyone cool. We never encountered a situation was the ship was overly crowded, and every time we were looking for loungers we found them.

The solarium of the Allure is my favorite Adults only area on any ship to date. The area is just huge, and with the roof having partial opening it always nice and breezy. Add to that two huge jacuzzies, a medium size fresh water pool, and a buffet and you have the perfect area to enjoy. This was by far our favorite area of the Allure! For more Allure of the Seas photos of the lido deck go to my full  review.

Activites 10/10

There is just so much to do in the Allure from the Flowrider, ice skating, rock climbing, zip line, mini golf etc.  Who can get bored in this ship? There is something for almost everybody, in addition to the parades and all the activities that are planned all the time. The only thing that I did miss from some of the game shows, was that since they are so attentive they have to hold them in large places. And that at times makes you feel disconnected from the experience, I much rather the feeling of smaller ships.

Shows 9/10

RCCL goes over the top when it comes to shows in these grand ladies. With big show productions like Chicago and Hair Spray(oasis), you’re sure to be entertained. The drawback is that since space is limited you have to make reservations in order to make it inside their shows. You’re also able to be in standby, but that always carries the risk of getting bad seats. The Allure also has 4 different venues for all the shows, including the first ever diving show in an open stadium! In addition to that they also have a comedy show venue, and the hold the Ice Games on the Skating ring!

Bars 8/10

The has lots of bars and lounges, including the first ever rising bar at sea. They were all very nice, and mom and I were particularly found of the Viking lounge. We loved the live music at night, and the fact that they had specials on selected night was just the added bonus. But I still thinking that Celebrity holds the wining key with their amazing bartenders on their Martini bar. For more Allure of the Seas photos of bars go to my full review.

Decor & Elegance  8/10

The is made with class and feels bright and open. There are plenty of areas where the decor changes and feel a little more elegant and subtle. But the promenade felt much more like a mall than a ship, I miss the ship feeling. RCCL is also a step behind and from and X in their decor. But the overall feeling of the ship was nice and warm, with good colors at night. For more Allure of the Seas photos of the ship decor go to my full review.

Unique Area – Central park & Boardwalk  9/10

The Allure just like her sister ship the Oasis both have a central park, and a Boardwalk. Both areas are just stunning, with restaurants surrounding them. We enjoyed both areas but found that we missed the connection from the ocean, while in them. I think that is the reason why we did not spend much time there. However the fast that they have these two incredible areas in a ship is just remarkable! The icing on the cake was when we noticed that there are birds that actually live in Central Park. For more Allure of the Seas photos of the unique areas go to my full review.

Service 9/10

Service aboard the Allure was great, everyone was very polite and fast. We only encountered a few issues in 150 Central park where our server was very egocentric, and slightly rude. But other than that the ship has a feeling of belonging, most employees take a lot of pride into their vessel, and it shows. We also had a great cabin steward that took incredibly good care of during our voyage. The overall service in the Allure was close to excellent.

Total Score and Conclusion,   86 out of 100

We had an amazing time on the Allure, at times I step back and think if any cruise will ever be able to top this experience. It was a very well rounded cruise, with tons to offer for pretty much any member of your family. The masses that this vessel handle is just incredible, and not only that, but the ship never really feels crowded. The food is almost always good, and the service was always excellent. Many fear the size of the Allure, but my honest opinion is that there is nothing to fear. The ship offers a great experience if you allow her to do so. Thank you for stopping by my Allure of the Seas Review.
